Cook County Jail Prison Ministry Services

CFCI brings Christ to men and women in Cook County Jail. Cook County Jail is run by the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC) and is one of the largest jails in the United States. Cook County jail houses 6,000 to 11,000 inmates in six active divisions. Cook County jail processes up to 120,000 inmates every year.


Our jail ministries are led by Rev Rob Brown, Founder, and Pastor Jesús “Jesse” Nuñez, Ministry Director who serve as full-time Staff Chaplains for the Cook County Jail.


Volunteers & Services

25 volunteers offering 12 services per week in English and Spanish to male and female detainees and have had up to 75 volunteers offering up to 35 services each week.

Since our founding in 1994 over ____ volunteers have served as volunteers in Cook County Jail services offered by Chaplains for Christ.
